Branding Design

Challenge

To recreate the original packaging design for the much anticipated relaunch of Algida (Wall's) cult ice cream Winner Taco on the Italian market. Calls for Taco’s relaunch started on social media where a growing community of nostalgic ice cream fans demanded the reintroduction of the famous ice cream that was first produced in the ‘90s. It was essential that the new graphic should recapture the feeling of the original while also achieving maximum impact at point of purchase.

Solution

To the joy of its nostalgic fans (affectionately known as Tachiani) we took great care to respect the heritage of the brand and faithfully recreate the original graphic design while confirming the strength of its presence in store. We have also painstakingly redrawn the iconic polar bear mascot which has become the face of Winner Taco’s advertising and communications campaign.
